So far today at least five aircraft on contract to the US military have refuelled at Shannon Airport on their way from Pope Air Base, Fort Bragg NC USA to an airport called Rzeszow-Jasionka in south east Poland which is just 90KM from the western borders of Ukraine. Another such aircraft is due at Shannon shortly after midnight tonight. These are all probably carrying up to 200 armed US soldiers, which means that about 1,000 US soldiers are likely to have passed through Shannon today.

These were all approved by the Irish Government, and especially approved by Minister Eamon Ryan as Minister for Transport.

This is a breach of international laws on neutrality and a breach of Article 29 of Bunreacht na hEireann. Instead of using our present position as a member of the UN Securing Council to promote peace in Ukraine our Government is siding with the US and NATO against Russia. It has done the same when the US and NATO waged illegal wars of aggression against Serbia, Afghanistan, Iraq and Libya, and has condoned Saudi Arabia’s dreadful war in Yemen.

These are the aircraft that refueled at Shannon today. Most of them refueled twice on the way to and from Rzeszow-Jasionka:

1. Omni Air N819AX arrived at Shannon about 00.18 am coming from Pope Air Base, Fort Bragg NC and flew on to Rzeszow-Jasionka airport returning to Shannon to refuel again and then flying back to the US at about 13.45 pm.

2. Omni Air N846AX arrived at Shannon about o3.34 am coming from Pope Air Base, Fort Bragg NC and flew on to Rzeszow-Jasionka airport returning to Shannon to refuel again and then flying back to the US at about 16.20 pm.

3. Omni Air N477AX arrived at Shannon about 05.30 am coming from Pope Air Base, Fort Bragg NC and flew on to Rzeszow-Jasionka airport returning to Shannon to refuel again and then flying back to the US at about 19.00 pm.

4. Omni Air N234AX arrived at Shannon about 09.00 am coming from Pope Air Base, Fort Bragg NC and flew on to Rzeszow-Jasionka airport returning to Shannon to refuel again at about 18.42 pm.

5. Omni Air N225AX arrived at Shannon about 10.51 am coming from Pope Air Base, Fort Bragg NC and flew on to Rzeszow-Jasionka airport returning to Shannon to refuel again at about 20.30 pm.

6. Omni Air N351AX is enroute to Shannon at present coming from Pope Air Base, Fort Bragg NC with a stop at Baltimore airport near Washington. It is due at Shannon shortly after midnight.

That's a lot of military activity in one day.
