Photographs taken today (Oct 11th) at Shannon Airport show US soldiers looking like they are in a US military base.

This is the stark reality of how our airport is being used to support US warfare around the world. And its not a once-off; its an almost daily occurrance despite our governent claiming that we are neutral.

Given the extensive military, diplomatic and financial support provided to Israel to eep Gaza war going this is shameful.

The troops are most likely to have arrived in Shannon on a National Air Airbus A330 with registration N873CA which was on contract to the US military. It had call sign CMB520 aand was operating as US Transportation Command 520.

It arrived at 10.57 from Charleston Air Force Base in the US. It took off again at 14.18 and five and a half hours later it was over Gurayat in Saudi Arabia.

There were several other US military planes at Shannon over the last two days.

US Navy Hercules C130 landed on Oct 9th from Rota base in Spain and spent two overnights at Shannon, It took off about 19.30 on Oct 11th heading towards the US. 

Omni Air N828AX on contract to the US military landed at about 06.44 on Oct 11th coming from Kuwait. It took off about 10.17 heading towards US. 

Another US military contraacted plane Omni Air N846AX landed at Shannon at about 22.32 on Oct 10th coming from Poznan Poland and Nurnberg Germany. It took off about 02.31 and flew on to Hunter Army Airfield SC. Atlas Air N641GT landed at about 02.15 coming from Al Udeid air base Qatar and Sofia Bulgaria. It took off about 07.44 heading towards the US.

A US Hercules C130 number 16-5314 also took off from Shannon about 12.00 on Oct 9th and later landed at RAF Mildenhall Cambridge. From there it flew on towards the Middle East.

This should not be happening.
